Who We Are

Domus Architects is a deliberately small to mid-sized firm, harnessing the creative energy and quality service that comes from being an intimate “boutique” firm. We are big enough to always have people ready to step up to the task, yet small enough to provide personalized service, making the difference between a good project and a great one.

Our Firm includes a diverse and seasoned staff, with the experience and knowledge to bring the thoroughness and quality of ideas that make each project a distinguished sensibility. With a core staff of 7 people, including three licensed Architects all with over 25 years experience,we are able to provide strong control and a variety of insight. Our principals come from different backgrounds culturally and professionally. It is this cultural and professional diversity that is the core that fuels Domus’ success.

Domenic Meffe brings a broad range of experience in the areas of commercial, industrial, non-profit housing, institutional, and academic design. His extensive experience: from design concepts to construction and detailing that provides in-depth real world knowledge. This experience includes planning and development work on numerous non-profit projects, perhaps as many as 100 commercial developments, and institutional projects throughout the province, including a provincial design award in 1995.

Mustafa Master brings his international experience of having worked with the world renown architect, Arthur Erickson. He has worked on large scale projects locally and in the Middle East, as well as institutional, university campus and government redevelopment projects. Some notable projects include the Canadian Embassy in Washington D.C, the Markham City Hall, the Roy Thompson Hall in the Greater Toronto Area, and the King Abdul University in Saudi Arabia. Mustafa’s experience brings a cultural sensitivity and large scale experience to Domus, to tackle prestigious and complex projects, locally and abroad.

Peter Chu shares a similar experience with architect Arthur Erickson, when he worked for Campus Consortium Consultants; a joint venture between the Erickson and the Webb Zerafa Menkes Housdon Partnership, two of Canada’s largest and most renown firms. His experience like Mustafa’s is also on large scale international prestigious projects, such as, the University of Madinah Campus and Residences, as well as many other projects in the Middle East, Hong Kong and China.
